Seems good; nice and fast. Took forever to get it; can’t imagine why MS didn’t torrent this. Now if only I can get a key from MS…

I finally replaced Vista for good on my laptop. The only question is what distro I was going to install; either Ubuntu, Suse, Ultimate, etc. I tried out Linux Mint which seems to simplify get Linux to work out of the box. I also like the simplified start menu rather than the 2 panel approach that Ubuntu utilizes. We’ll see how long this will last.
Edit 1/3: Well Mint lasted all of six+ hours; was installing the stuff I always do with U and had no trouble until I installed BOINC (which made my laptop cry & lock up; a first!). But after uninstalling BOINC it didn’t seem happy (more lockup craziness) so I scrapped it and moved back to U.
